“The Kerrisdale Basketball League’s inaugural season was in the fall of 1998, although the league’s roots are at False Creek Elementary School where the pickup basketball with 5 or 6 players developed into a fun pickup league with 3 or 4 teams.  Moving to Kerrisdale allowed the league to grow, and the league has now grown from the original 6 teams at Kerrisdale to 30 to 34 teams spread between three community centers (Sunset and Kits).  There are about 400 players in the league, and these players come from all around the Greater Vancouver area.”

The Jewish Community Center of Greater Vancouver offers a men’s basketball league at the community center. The league runs multiple seasons throughout the year.
