Volleyball Blocking – Blocker Eye Sequencing
Volleyball blocking not only requires physical skill, but also split second mental decision making. The more information you can acquire during a volleyball game, the better you become at making the right blocking decisions. Therefore, your eyes play an active role in collecting real-time information about how to make the best block.
Sometimes described as volleyball blocking eye work, eye sequencing, is the series of objects that the blocker should focus on, leading up to the block. In short, the blocker eye sequence is ball, setter, ball, hitter.
