Volleyball Middle Blocker Spiking Footwork and Technique

I grew up playing the middle blocker position on my high school volleyball teams. Even though I have played for many years, watching these videos helped me better understand the proper techniques to improve my own skills.

The middle, quick spike attack plays two important roles during the offensive play. First it is an effective attack to score a point and second, it serves as a decoy to draw the opposite team’s middle blocker away from the power and offside hitters.
